A celebration of life for 72-year-old Katie Griffin, of Hopkinsville, will be 2 PM Saturday, September 30, at New Work Fellowship Church in Hopkinsville.
Dogwood Funerals & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include:
Two sons, Jeff (Angela) Buttram, of Cataula, Georgia, and Steve (Tracy) Buttram, of Hopkinsville;
Seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Dr. Cory Pitts will officiate.
Griffin died September 19, 2023, at Bradford Heights Nursing Facility.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Idus and Hattie Griffin, along with six brothers and a sister. The family would like to thank the staff of Centennial Hospital and Bradford Heights Nursing Facility for the care of “Miss Katie.”
Katie was a native of Alabama and spent most of her life in Clay County, Alabama.
She worked in the textile industry for most of her early adult life. She changed careers and went into the healthcare field, where she retired as a certified nurse’s aide at Clay County Nursing Home in Alabama.
She enjoyed meals with her family and shopping with her grandkids. Katie moved to Hopkinsville, Kentucky in 2022, and was of the Baptist faith and attended New Work Fellowship Church.
The family ask that any memorial contributions be made to the residency program at New Work Fellowship.
