Phyllis K. Cotton, age 72, of Princeton, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at home.
Phyllis was born on February 18, 1951, to the late Robert Witherspoon and Mary Louise Kilgore. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Kuttawa.
She is survived by son, Billy (Wanda) Cotton of Princeton; daughter, Merietta (Michael) Latham of Cadiz; sister, Kathy Dunn of Cadiz; brothers, Michael Witherspoon of Axson, GA, Wayne Witherspoon of Owensboro; grandchildren, Hilary (Matthew) Fagan, Hannah Cotton, Cammie Cotton and Zoee Cotton; great-grandchildren, Delilah Fagan and Abram Fagan; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dixie Cotton; brothers, Frankie Witherspoon, Richard Witherspoon and Ronnie Witherspoon; nephews, Neal Harper, Steve Witherspoon and Jeff Witherspoon.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Lance Nichols Cemetery with Bro. Matt Grimes officiating.
