A Hopkinsville man was charged after he reportedly assaulted and kidnapped a woman on Quisenberry Lane in Christian County Saturday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 49-year-old Michael Henderson kicked the door into a home armed with a crossbow and kidnapped and assaulted a woman by choking her.
He was reportedly located with the woman on Bassett Avenue in Hopkinsville. Deputies say he resisted arrest, threatened deputies and their families, and had to be tased and pepper sprayed before going into the jail.
He is lodged in the jail on charges of first-degree assault domestic violence, first-degree wanton endangerment, resisting arrest, third-degree terroristic threatening, kidnapping of an adult, first-degree strangulation, and first-degree burglary.
