Iretta Holmes Lyle, 88, of Herndon, KY died at 5:58 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, at Powell Cemetery in LaFayette, KY with Rev. Paul Ganther, Rev. Rachel Ganther, and Joe Barner officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Caldwell County, KY she was born September 2, 1935, the daughter of the late Charles Leonard Holmes and Vina Camplin Holmes. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ennis “Jimmy” Lyle who died on August 27, 2023.
Survivors include her brother: James Ralph (Ruth Ann) Holmes of Sallisaw, OK.
