The executive director of the local Boys and Girls Club has been presented with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s most prestigious honor — the Blue Spirit Award for the Midwest Region.
Terrence Davis of the Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County was selected by Boys & Girls Clubs of America President Jim Clark. Officials say the Blue Spirit Award recognizes leaders who have demonstrated what it truly means to be a Club and community leader and have gone above and beyond to drive impact and make a difference.
The Blue Spirit Award is the highest honor presented by the Boys & Girls Club of America and is only presented to five CEOs around the country annually.
In a statement, Davis expressed his humility in receiving this recognition and attributed all the credit to his staff. He emphasized that it’s the dedicated individuals who work for, serve, and support the Boys and Girls Club that enable him to positively influence the youth and bring about change in the community. Davis expressed gratitude for the opportunity he has to contribute in this role.
