With a 2 PM, November 29 ribbon cutting planned for the new Trigg County I-24 Business Park spec building, comes the question of how to pay for it.
Magistrates got some clarity on this concern during Monday night’s fiscal court session, when they unanimously adopted a resolution authorizing the Cadiz-Trigg County Industrial Development Authority, and contact Sharon Butts, to apply for a Regional Development Agency Assistance Program grant through the Tennessee Valley Authority.
If awarded, it will bring nearly $154,000 to Trigg County — and will alleviate debt service to the glistening installation.
Judge-Executive Stan Humphries said the property has a real chance to bring opportunity to the south western Kentucky region.
In other court news:
— Trigg County Road Supervisor Brandon Calhoun said paving contracts still need to be completed for Herndon Circle, Canton-Blue Springs and Wadlington Road.
Humphries noted weather has played a factor in trying to finish a couple portions of the annual road plan.
