The Hopkinsville Police Department has another academy-trained officer on its force after Officer Jesse Bufford completed his training earlier this month through the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training in Richmond.
Bufford was one of 31 officers who graduated as part of the 543rd that received 20 weeks of training that included patrol procedures, physical training, vehicle operations, defensive tactics, criminal law, traffic and DUI, firearms, criminal investigations, and cultural awareness.
Bufford will receive field training on Hopkinsville Police Department procedures and begin his patrol duties.
