Gilbert Lee, 80, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 3:24 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2023, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with John Voss and Carl Goad officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Christian County, Kentucky he was born on April 30, 1943, the son of the late Melvin Lee and Etta Irene King Lee. He was a contractor and former co-owner of C&L Rentals. He was the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Heritage Bank. He was a member of Eagle Way Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife: Dianne Wilson Lee; his children: Ronnie (Audra) Rager of Gracey, KY, Michelle Lee (Ross) Peterson of Hopkinsville, KY, Shane (Lisa) Ginn of Princeton, KY, and Shannon Ginn Brown of Hopkinsville, KY; his sister: Lula Rettberg of Hopkinsville, KY; his brothers: Wayne (Lynda) Lee and Larry Lee both of Hopkinsville, KY, and Ronnie (Marsha) Lee of Greensboro, NC; his grandchildren: Marcy (Chad) Mabry, Colton Lee (Sarah) Johnson, Whitney Rager, Hattie Jo (Cole) McNeely, Cora Beth Brown, Maggie Ginn, and Mallory Rager; and his great-granddaughter: Blayke Alivia Mabry.
