Funeral Services for 87-year-old Seldon Earl Thomas of Owensboro, a native of Trigg County, will be Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Goodwin Funeral Home.
Burial will be private in Starkie Thomas Cemetery in Trigg County
Visitation will be at Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Daughter – Dawn Lambert and husband Josh, Owensboro
Daughter – Gretchen Thomas and husband Brian Green, Easton, Conn.
Grandchildren – Five grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Emma Lambert, Makinze Lambert, Alex Lambert, and Maddy Green
Great Grandchildren – Two great-grandchildren, Andrew Seldon Thomas and Kaitlyn Thomas
Seldon Earl Thomas passed away at 6:20 PM, Saturday, December 2, 2023, at HPC Heartford House in Owensboro.
Born October 29, 1936, in Trigg County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Cecil Seldon Thomas and the late Dorothy Clark Thomas.
He was retired from the Owensboro Public School System where he was a science teacher. After his retirement, he worked as a bus driver for Trigg County Schools for several years and was also a charter bus driver, which allowed him to travel, one of his many passions. As a deeply devoted University of Kentucky basketball fan, Seldon spent countless hours cheering for the Wildcats and keeping meticulous stats for each game. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Owensboro and enjoyed playing church league softball.
