Christmas is officially underway following the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Founders’ Square Friday night. Parks and Recreation Superintendent Toby Hudson shared the story of how Jack Shaheen was asked if he wanted to flip the switch for the ceremony before the countdown.
Shaheen is from a military family recently transplanted to the area and is a huge fan of Christmas lights. Hudson says the event is always a great kick off to the Christmas season.
