Anthony Curtis Meadows, 69, died of natural causes at 11:14 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2023, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
He has chosen not to have any services. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Tony was born in Madisonville but lived almost all his life in Hopkinsville. His late parents were Emanuel Frank Meadows and Mary Aileen Boyd Meadows. He attended Hopkinsville High School, Class of 1972, and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had several lifelong friends and a heart and temper as big as life itself.
Tony enjoyed fine things in life, like boating and flying in airplanes, but he was happiest when he was with his family. He never met a Bud Light or a Marlboro Light he didn’t like.
Tony worked 30 years for Honda of Hopkinsville in motorcycle sales and customer service and was a master at the Gift of Gab.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his big brother, Frankie Edward Meadows and their baby sister, Candy Sue Meadows Potter.
Survivors include his daughters: Mary Katherine Meadows of Wilmington, NC and Brittany Nicole Meadows (Johnathan “Shoe”) Sherrod of Gainesville, FL; his grandchildren: Chancelor Rhion Averitt, Devon Lucas Averitt, Macey Elizabeth Meadows, Lauren Rose Kennedy and Kailyn Nicole Sherrod; his great-grandchildren: Evelyn Raine Averitt, Skylar Storm Averitt, Mariah Rose Kennedy and Bentley Herbert Rivenbark.
Tony will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his friend Gary Wall, who has cared for him all of the last years of his life. Our family is forever grateful.
