Clara Marie Hancock, age 83, of Hopkinsville, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Christian Care Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 21, 2023, with the family officiating at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home and private burial at a later date at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Hancock was born May 4, 1940, in Denver, CO, the daughter of the late Alton and Barbara Thomas Haile. Marie retired from Pop Fastener. She was a member of the New Work Fellowship. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Richard Thomas Hancock in June 2023; her sister, Sherry Cowan.
She is survived by her son, Tommy Hancock, and his wife Missy of Crestview, FL; her daughter, Robin Hancock Henderson, and her husband Charlie of Hopkinsville; her grandchildren, Ali Marie Henderson Lancaster and her husband Zack, Jordan McCarley Henderson Bishop and her husband Zach, Chase Hancock, Molly Ann Hancock Kim and her husband Jordan; and her six great-grandchildren, John Lawson Lancaster, Alton Doss Lancaster, Keller Noel Lancaster, Lincoln Thomas Bishop, Landry Marie Bishop and Lucas Rives Bishop.
In place of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
