During the month of December, officials from FNB Bank opted to make a pair of $500 donations to what they deemed “worthy charities,” on behalf of their customers and community members — in hopes of assisting with daily missions.
Those beneficiaries: The Way Christian Youth Center and Beta Nu.
Kyle Hensley, Trigg County market president, noted both organizations “mean so much” to this local community, and not just during the Christmas season, but all year long.
Located on Lafayette Street behind the Trigg County Schools campus, The Way serves 6th through 12th grade students with a place they can come together to enjoy games, food, worship and other activities in a safe, disciplined environment.
Beta Nu, meanwhile, is the Trigg County chapter of the long-lauded international philanthropic sorority Epsilon Sigma Alpha. This group of dedicated women helps put forth fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for other community programs and organizations. They are sponsors of the annual Christmas Angel Tree and the Math-a-thon at Trigg County Elementary School, which raises funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Founded in 1875, FNB Bank is one of the oldest such establishments in Kentucky, with assets exceeding $650 million. It now has 10 locations in Graves, McCracken, Calloway, Trigg and Marshall counties.
