The Clarksville Police Department announced a breakthrough arrest in the 2022 murder case of Naythan Nugent on Thursday.
25-year-old Jacori Steele was apprehended after evading officers responding to a property damage call.
Steele was identified as a suspect earlier by Detective Bruce Kilby and was indicted during the December session of the Montgomery County Grand Jury for first-degree felony murder. During his arrest, a stolen firearm from Hopkinsville was recovered.
With prior felony convictions, Steele faces additional charges including aggravated robbery and illegal firearm possession. The case is under prosecution, with authorities withholding further details as the investigation unfolds.
