A Hopkinsville man was sentenced last week to 11 years and 6 months in federal prison after being found guilty on three counts of distribution of methamphetamine, one count of distribution of fentanyl, and one count of possession with intent to distribute meth.

According to court documents, 26-year-old Shaveon Richardson will have five years of supervised release following his release from prison.

The charges came from a Hopkinsville Police Department investigation from 2022 when Richardson distributed over 50 grams of meth in Christian County.

A month later, Richardson was charged with aiding another person in the distribution of 96 fentanyl pills and provided another person with approximately one pound of meth to distribute.

This case was investigated by the Paducah office of the DEA and the Hopkinsville Police Department.
