During the first jury orientation for 2024 in Christian Circuit Court Tuesday morning, the new year started off with its traditional prayer ceremony in the Division II courtroom.
Chief Circuit Judge John Atkins said the ceremony — led by Colonel Rich Cooper — is to seek God’s blessings on all the jurors who will serve in 2024 and all of the court personnel who serve at the courthouse. Judge Atkins said Col. Cooper has been a warrior for our country and our faith.
