Three more candidates have filed to run for Hopkinsville City Council with the deadline to enter the May primary election coming up this Friday.
Republican Vance Smith filed to run in Ward 1 and will face primary opposition from incumbent Natasha Sophia Francis. Democrat Markeeta Oldham Wilkerson has also filed for the race.
Republican Faye Hendricks has filed to run in Ward 4 against incumbent Chuck Crabtree.
In Ward 12, incumbent Matthew Handy will face opposition from Elizabeth Draude in the Republican primary.
The deadline for partisan races for the May 21 primary is Friday at 4:00.
