A memorial service, with military honors, for 66-year-old Alexander R. Spaulding, of Hopkinsville, will be 1 PM, February 9, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include:
His children, Rebecca Frierson (Wesley), Heather Potter, and Alex Geary Spaulding;
His siblings, Barbara D. Offutt (James), Robert Spaulding, Elaine Lashley (Glen), Thomas Spaulding, Junior McGrew ( Lisa Downs), Joyce Simon, and Norma McGrew;
And four grandchildren.
All who knew Spaulding are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
He died December 26, 2023, following a courageous battle with leukemia. A respected Army veteran and an accomplished artist, Alex’s strength and creativity were his hallmarks.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Mae Samuels McGrew and Alexander Spaulding, and sisters, Delores Hall and Dina McGrew. And too many nieces and nephews to count.
