Funeral services for 82-year-old Michael Turner "Mike" Thompson of Hopkinsville will be Monday, January 8, at 1:00 at Hughart, Beard, and Giles Funeral Home in Hopkinsville.
Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Michael Turner Thompson went to be with the Lord January 3, 2024.
In Hopkinsville, Mike worked at both Ford and Honda dealerships along with Budget Rental car for more than 30 years. For the past 18 years he worked at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Mike also was a faithful member and elder of Millbrooke Christian church for over forty (40) years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and he enjoyed fishing as a hobby.
Mike is survived by his wife of over 60 years: Gail Thompson; his children: Dawn Deaton of Lexington, KY, Shawn Thompson of Vidor, Texas, and Darren (Jeanni) Thompson of Kansas City, Missouri; his brother: William Thompson of Paducah, KY; his grandchildren: Sascha (Stephen) Heinze, Jolie Thompson, and Mya Thompson; and his great grandchildren: Jaxon Deaton and Allison Heinze.
Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Millbrooke Christian Church or the American Heart Association.
