A joint memorial service for Huel Thomas Edwards, 100, her son, Johnny, and wife, Sue will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 13, 2024.
Burial will follow at a later date in East End Cemetery in Cadiz.
Visitation will be at Goodwin Funeral Home on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
She is survived by her granddaughter, Ellen (Dr. George) Cheng of Spotsylvania, Virginia; great-grandson, Ethan Thomas Cheng and numerous nieces and nephews.
Huel Thomas Edwards passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Barkley Plantation in Cadiz.
Born August 30, 1923, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Early and Georgia Boyd Thomas. In her early years, Huel was employed at Trigg County Farmers Bank, and after her marriage to John “Toppy”, she was a bookkeeper for Standard Oil Company. After the closing of the Cadiz office, she worked as a bookkeeper at Fourshee Building Supply. She was a member of Cadiz Baptist church where she enjoyed participating in her bible study group. Huel was also a charter member of the Cadiz Woman’s Club.
