The weather could have an impact on Martin Luther King celebrations scheduled in Hopkinsville and Cadiz on Monday.
The annual MLK March in Hopkinsville will begin Monday morning at 9:00 at Freedom Elementary School on North Drive and walk across the street to the Hopkinsville Community College Auditorium.
Raychel Farmer, executive director of the Hopkinsville Human Rights Commission said a program will follow in the auditorium.

Jada Poindexter, executive assistant with the HRC, said Tom Bell State Farm Insurance will again sponsor the school challenge program.
click to download audioFarmer said prizes will be awarded to the winners of the MLK Day art contest, and The Salvation Army will be at Hopkinsville Community College to collect coats for a coat drive.
However, coats will be needed on Monday with temperatures expected in the teens at march time.
Farmer said the public will be notified on the HRC Facebook page no later than 7:00 on Monday morning about the status of the activities.
Meanwhile, Genesis Express will be organizing Monday’s MLK march in Cadiz. George Radford said the pre-march program will begin at at the Renaissance stage downtown at 10:00 featuring Randolph Crenshaw.
