New Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Jonathon Shell helped kick off the Kentucky Cattleman’s Convention Thursday at the Central Bank Center in Lexington.
Commissioner Shell, who took office January 1, says he quickly realized there are some great employees at the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.

The opening session also included a beef industry economic outlook from UK Ag Economist Dr. Kenny Burdine and an update from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture Emergency Management Division that was formed in July 2023.
