Man Found In Stolen Vehicle Charged With Drug Possession

A Hopkinsville man was charged with possession of drugs after he was located in a vehicle that had been reported stolen Tuesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the area about the vehicle and located 37-year-old John Giles Jr. in the driver’s seat.

The vehicle had been reported stolen two days before and after a search of his belongings, he was reportedly found to have meth.

He was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking, possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. Giles was also found to have warrants for probation violation and non-payment of court costs.
