Martha Goode Walker, age 88, formerly of Hopkinsville, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at her daughter’s home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 5, 2024, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday, February 5, 2024. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Walker was born, on February 1, 1935, in Hopkinsville, the daughter of the late George Raymond and Ola Agnes Henderson Goode. Martha worked as an RN at Trigg County Hospital and Blanchfield Army Hospital. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Walker; her brothers, Billy Goode, Boone Goode, and Leland Goode; her sisters, Elsie Goode, Juanita Wade, Dorothy Shelton, and Nancy Goode; and her great-granddaughter, Indie Rose Santos.
Survivors include her son, Lowell Walker and his wife Sherry of Cadiz; her daughters, Allison Wagner and her husband Mike of Eloy, AZ, and Nancy Harlan and her husband Marty of Bowling Green, KY; her sisters, Wanda Davis of Hopkinsville, Gertie Haskell of Cape Girardeau, MO, Patricia Leyva and her husband John of Chicago, IL; her eight grandchildren; her fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
