Two people charged with a June 2021 home invasion were sentenced to jail time in Christian County Circuit Court on Wednesday while sentencing was delayed for a third suspect.

Marshall Austin previously pled guilty to a complicity to robbery charge while Ajaizion Johnson pled to a second-degree robbery charge.

In sentencing Austin, Judge John Atkins denied a request for probation.

Sims pled guilty in December to amended charges of complicity to second-degree robbery and second-degree burglary with the Commonwealth recommending seven years in prison

Sims, along with Johnson, Austin, Isaiah Campbell, and Korey Zivotin were all charged with robbery in connection to the June 2021 home invasion on Glass Avenue at the residence of 74-year-old Charles “Birddog” Paige. Police said one of the suspects exchanged gunfire with Paige during the robbery. No one was injured in the shooting and the suspects fled the area before officers arrived.

Last year, Zivotin was sentenced to 10 years in prison on a second-degree robbery charge for his role in the home invasion. However, he was on probation for an unrelated felony assault charge at the time of the home invasion and Judge Atkins tacked on an additional 10 years for a total of 20 years behind bars.

Also last year, Campbell entered an Alford plea to second-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and felony theft as part of a deal that came with a 10-year total sentence.
