A traffic stop on JW Dixon Road in Oak Grove led to felony charges Sunday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 30-year-old Dominique Govan was seen on Interstate 24 going 31 mph over the speed limit and was stopped at the Waffle House by deputy Danny Collings. During the stop, Govan allegedly tossed a handgun out the window into the grass. He was found to have an active Kentucky Domestic Violence Order and was a convicted felon.
He was arrested and charged with speeding, failure to maintain required insurance, reckless driving, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and several other traffic offenses.
