Four Tennessee women were indicted by the Christian County Grand Jury in connection to taking thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from ULTA in Hopkinsville last summer.
Separate true bills were returned on Brookia Martin, of Gallatin and Lyndyia Woods, of Nashville, charging each with one count of theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting over $10,000. On or about June 24 and July 2, 2023, Martin and Woods are accused of taking merchandise belonging to ULTA worth $8,929 and $6,331 for a total of $15,260.
A true bill was returned on Keldasha Blaylock, of Nashville, on a single count of theft by unlawful taking over $1,000 but under $10,000. On or about June 24, 2023, the indictment alleges that Blaylock unlawfully took merchandise from ULTA for $8,929.
And Myria Buchanon, of Nashville, Tennessee, was indicted of theft by unlawful taking over $1,000 under $10,000. She is accused of unlawfully taking $6,331 worth of merchandise from ULTA on July 2, 2023.
In addition to the ULTA theft indictments, the grand jury returned numerous indictments including on charges of assault, endangering a police officer, and rape.
Those included a true bill on William Davis, of Hopkinsville, on charges related to receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, promoting contraband, possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, two counts of fleeing or evading police, and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer.
These charges are in connection to a pursuit involving the Christian County Sheriff’s Office on May 12, 2023, when law enforcement in Tennessee attempted to stop Davis and he fled into Oak Grove on Ft. Campbell Boulevard. Deputies said they pursued Davis into Hopkinsville where spike strips were used on Skyline Drive. Davis reportedly continued until the vehicle became inoperable and the pursuit ended on Lovers Lane.
Jayden Drake, of Hopkinsville, was indicted of first-degree rape that, according to the indictment, occurred on September 14th, 2023 when he allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim by using force.
A true bill was returned on Alexeye Story, of Hopkinsville, on a single count of first-degree assault. According to the indictment, on or about December 5, 2023, Story intentionally and wantonly engaged in conduct that created a grave risk of death to an individual, causing serious physical injury by use of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.
