Virginia Dare Hunter, 91, of Crofton, Kentucky died at 3:35 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Western State Hospital Nursing Facility.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2024 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Christian County, Kentucky she was born on October 4, 1932, the daughter of the late Paul Manford West and Eddie Mae Wright West. In her working years, she served as the Head Registered Dietician for the Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute until her retirement. She was proud to be a member of the American Dietetic Association.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her son: Mark (Kathleen) Carter of Crofton; brother Paul West of Valley View, Texas; grandson: Wesley (Miriam) Carter of Newnan, Georgia.
