Donnie “Chief” Terwilliger, Sr., age 62, of Crofton, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024, at his home of natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with a celebration of life to be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West at 2:00 PM Monday, March 4, 2024. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family with the care of their loved one.
Mr. Terwilliger was born on May 9, 1962, in Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, MS, the son of the late Thomas Edward and Joyce Elaine Roberts Terwilliger. Donnie was a veteran in the US Army for over 28 years; serving in Saudi Arabia, Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Ulmer Terwilliger of Crofton; his son, Donnie (Lauren) Terwilliger, Jr. of Booneville, IN; his daughters, Amanda Mayton of Christian County, and Heather Barnett of Hattiesburg, MS; his brothers, Tommy Terwilliger of Pass Christian, MS, Bradley Terwilliger of Someier, MS, Bobby Terwilliger of Saucier, MS, and Jody Terwilliger of Saucier, MS; eleven grandchildren, Jocelyn Varnado, Caitlyn Varnado, McKayla Varnado, Trey Varnado, Maddox Barnett, Baylee Terwilliger, Dawson Terwilliger, Brayden Goodman, Jaxon Mayton, Ava Terwilliger, and Maisyn Terwilliger; and four great-grandchildren.
