The Hopkinsville Fire Department has announced the promotion of three firemen who have a combined 31 years of experience with the agency.
Captain Marc London was promoted to the rank of Battalion Chief. He served as a District Captain assigned to Battalion 3 and will now lead Battalion 2 as its Shift Commander following the recent retirement of Chip Renshaw.
Lieutenant Curtis Sauers was promoted to the rank of Captain. He most recently served as a Lieutenant assigned to Battalion 2 and will now be assigned as a District Captain on Battalion 3.
Firefighter Zachary Lundberg was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He was recently assigned to Battalion 1 as a Firefighter and advanced emergency medical technician. Following this promotion, he will be assigned to Battalion 3/Station 1 headquarters.
Captain Payton Rogers said the promotions will take effect on March 4.
