Police have released the name of a man charged with shooting and killing a Hopkinsville man on North McPherson Avenue Monday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 24-year-old Kamron Snyder of Lima, Ohio fired a shot from a vehicle hitting 27-year-old Khailil Buckner in the abdomen just after 5 p.m.
Buckner was treated at the scene by Hopkinsville EMS and then flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville where he later died.
No one else was injured in the shooting. Snyder was reportedly located in Allen County, Ohio, and was arrested on a Kentucky warrant for murder. He is awaiting extradition to Kentucky.
