Two women were charged with trafficking drugs after a traffic stop on Mechanic Street in Hopkinsville Wednesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 39-year-old Christina Brison for her license plate not being illuminated and during the stop, Brison and her passenger 36-year-old Chaquita Johnson gave officers false identifying information.
They were both reportedly found to have meth and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and after confirming their real information they were found to have warrants for failure to appear.
Brison was arrested and charged with license plate not illuminated, giving officers false identifying information, and trafficking meth.
Johnson was also arrested and charged with failure to wear a seat belt, giving officers false identifying information, and trafficking meth.
