Omar Eugene Mathews, Jr., 74, of Cadiz, Kentucky died at 1:28 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2024, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2024, at Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville with Rev. Bencie Rasnake officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Hihat, Kentucky he was born on April 2, 1949, the son of the late Omar Eugene Mathews, Sr. and Velma Reynolds Mathews.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in Vietnam.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
