A Hopkinsville man has been charged in connection to a stabbing on North Kentucky Avenue in Hopkinsville Monday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they received a call of a disturbance with a large group of people fighting in the roadway and stopped a vehicle leaving the scene with 20-year-old Ja’Konyae Fox who had been stabbed in the abdomen.
After further investigation, it was reportedly found Fox was stabbed 6 to 8 times by 20-year-old Zycharius Harris and he was located by law enforcement and arrested on charges of first-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.
Harris reportedly told police he stabbed Fox over a Facebook post disrespecting him and his family.
Fox was taken to Jennie Stuart Health and then transferred to a Nashville hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
