Man Charged With Unlawful Imprisonment After Fleeing From Police

A man was charged with fleeing from law enforcement and unlawful imprisonment after a pursuit on McKee Street in Hopkinsville Tuesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say the man fled from law enforcement after running multiple stop signs on his motorized scooter and crashed the scooter between two homes.

He was reportedly located walking in the area and a woman came up to law enforcement as they talked with the man and gave them a bag of the man’s clothing stating he had come in the back door when her 12-year-old daughter had opened it and followed her around not letting her call for police.

Police say the name the man gave them has not been confirmed. He is being held in the Christian County Jail on charges of disregarding stop signs, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree burglary, and two counts of first-degree fleeing or evading police.
