A traffic stop on Central Avenue in Hopkinsville led to a stolen gun being located Saturday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Joe Brown Jr. for not having a registration plate and found him to have a warrant and a crack pipe in the center console.
A 9mm handgun was also reportedly located that had been reported stolen.
He was arrested and charged with no operator’s license, no registration plates, failure to maintain required insurance, and receiving stolen property (firearm).
