Barbara Joyce Bird, 77, Hopkinsville, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West, Nashville, of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Bird officiating and Rev. Darrell Russell assisting. Burial will follow in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the funeral home.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY, she was born May 23, 1946, the daughter of the late Orbrey Edwards and the late Lothell (Simpson) Edwards.
Barbara was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Jerry Bird, Hopkinsville, KY; her son, Steven (Jacqueline) Bird, Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter, Angela (Jason) Groppel, Clarksville, TN; her brother, Larry (Kaye) Edwards, Crofton, KY; her sisters, Linda (Darrell) Russell, Crofton, KY, Judy (John) Smith, Richmond, KY; her grandchildren, Steven Wayne Bird, Jr., Jessica Bird Berman, Justin Bird, Joshua Groppel, and Josiah Groppel; and nine great-grandchildren.
