Funeral services for 83-year-old Wayne Knight, of Cerulean, will be 1 PM Thursday at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the funeral hour.
Survivors include:
His wife, Dorothy Knight;
His children, Donnie Knight, of Gracey, Kathy (Greg) Bivins, of Cerulean, and Chris (Khristen) Knight, of Hopkinsville;
His sisters, Barbara (Ray) Woody, of Titusville, Florida, and Betty Cornelius, of Cerulean;
His brother, Perry (Sue) Knight, of Madisonville;
His grandchildren, Beth Knight, Brandon Knight, Miranda (Zeb) White, Justin Knight, Conner (Ashley) Bivins, and Brock Knight;
And six great-grandchildren.
Rev. Dr. Joe Bufford is officiating.
He died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville.
A native of Christian County, he was born August 19, 1940, the son of late Rufus Hershel Knight and Bonnie Lou Thompson Knight.
He was retired from the sales department at Cayce Mill Supply Co. He also owned and operated Knight’s Mail Service, ran the old Sinclair Gas Station, and farmed. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jane Woolf Knight.
