William “Bill” Folz, 74, of Hopkinsville, died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church with burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. A Rosary will be said Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Evansville, IN he was born November 30, 1949, the son of the late Albert John Folz and Emma Marie Durchholz Folz. He was a farmer. He was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church where he served as an usher, a Eucharistic Adorer, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Christian County Cattleman’s Association.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Norma Lee Folz; his brothers: Charlie Folz and Tommy (Pat) Folz; and his brother-in-law: Jim Nichols.
Survivors include his daughters: Jennifer (Phillip) Groves and Kim Folz both of Hopkinsville, KY; his brother: Gary (Norma Jean) Folz of Newburgh, IN; his sisters: Mary Ann Nichols of Boonville, IN, and Linda (Frank) Naas of Evansville, IN; his sister-in-law: Judy Folz of Hopkinsville, KY; and his grandchildren: Will Groves, Josh Groves, Ellie Groves, and Emma Groves.
