A Christian County man was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after a wreck on Greenville Road Friday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to the area of Greenville Road and Deason Lane for a northbound SUV that ran off the road and overturned ejecting the driver.
The driver 39-year-old Jason Birdsong had reportedly fled the area before law enforcement arrived but was later located and taken into custody after a gun and drugs were found at the scene.
Birdsong is charged with leaving the scene of an accident, possession of meth third offense or more, driving on a DUI-suspended license third offense, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
