Tennessee Man Charged After Christian County High-Speed Pursuit

A Tennessee man was charged after he reportedly led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit in Christian County Sunday night.

Kentucky State Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Lamonte Cole for speeding on Interstate 24 near the Pennyrile Parkway exit and he fled at speeds of over 100 mph.

The pursuit crossed into Trigg County where Cole reportedly exited onto US 68 then got back on the Interstate going back into Christian County.

Police say the pursuit ended on Kentucky 117 near the intersection of Cox Mill Road when Cole exited the vehicle and was taken into custody.

He is charged with speeding, reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, and several traffic violations.
