A Hopkinsville woman was charged with theft of identity after a traffic stop on Dawson Springs Road in Christian County Monday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Sara Newman and during the stop, she used her sister’s name, date of birth, and social security number as her own.
After further investigation, She admitted to giving her sister’s information and Newman was found to have an active warrant for failure to appear out of Logan County.
She was arrested and charged with theft of identity.
