A wreck involving a utility pole on East 3rd Street in Hopkinsville sent a woman to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say a car was eastbound when the driver said the car accelerated for an unknown reason and hit a parked vehicle and then a utility pole.
The driver was treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for injuries. The roadway was blocked as a new pole was installed.
