Darrell Henderson, 92, Hopkinsville, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Christian Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pembroke, KY of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Neal Immell officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the funeral home.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY, he was born on May 9, 1932, the son of the late James Monroe Henderson and the late Ivy Golden (Meacham) Henderson.
Darrell served in the United States Army, the United States Navy, and the United States Air Force. He retired as an electrician for the civil service at Fort Campbell and was a member of New Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Darlene (Mike) Hefner, Canton, GA, Jeanell Fowler of Hopkinsville, KY; his grandchildren, Shana (Michael) Henderson, Banica (Brandon) Francis, Jennifer (Jonathan) Davenport, Christi (Randy) Boren, Geri (Jesse) Smelcer, Scott (Rebecca) Hefner, Jason (Rachel) Hefner, and Autumn (Matt) Mitchell; his great-grandchildren, Lathan Davenport, Dalton Combs, Charles Langley Henderson, Madison Boren, Kelsey Brumfield, McKenzie Hefner, Walker Hefner, Jacob Hefner, Jackson Hefner, Allie Hefner, Aidan Mitchell and Liam Mitchell.
