Two dogs were rescued and one was rushed to a veterinarian after a fire on Moelight Drive in Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Firefighters say a juvenile came home from school and found smoke in the home and after a search of the structure three dogs were found and given oxygen.
Two of the dogs reportedly became alert but one was rushed to the veterinarian as a result of the fire.
Firefighters say the fire was located in a back bedroom.
No one was home at the time and the cause of the fire has not been determined.
Moelight Drive connects Camilla Drive and Canton Street.
