On May 16, Trigg County High School’s Class of 2024 held Scholarship Day, and the 128 students received more than $3 million in financial aid.
Letters from colleges, local and national organizations, as well as the Army National Guard, poured into the community — and many received multiple scholarships.
Students were also recognized for BETA, National Honors Society, Voice of the Wildcats, Work Ready Certification, College & Career Ready, Thoroughbred Academy and Honor Recombination.
Jacey Holmes was selected for valedictorian and Laura Kate Thomas was selected as salutatorian.
The Daughters of the American Revolution presented several awards including a Citizenship award to Avery Ethridge.
Students were also recognized for achieving an ACT score of 28 or higher, as well as those accepted into the the Governor’s Scholars Program, Governor’s Scholars Program for Entrepreneur, and Commonwealth Honors Academy.
The Ronald Reagan Leadership Medal was presented to Ethridge, and Mari Kate Ricks.
