Two Trigg County 4-H members are in need of your votes in the Goodwill Industries of Kentucky Upcycle contest.
According to a post on the Goodwill Facebook site earlier this year, each 4-H participant received a $20 Goodwill voucher for the purpose of collecting materials. Participants used their sewing skills to revamp the items, turning something old into something new!
Among those entering the contest were Trigg County 4-H members Jesarra Crenshaw and Janessa Noel.
Janessa Noel, who is number 27 on the site, took a shower curtain and turned it into a dress.
Jessara Crenshaw, who is number 29, took a dress and turned it into a pair of shorts and a jacket.
Crenshaw is one of the regular vendors at the Cadiz-Trigg County Farmers Marker. Both are among the 4-H members modeling their creations in the contest on the Goodwill Industries of Kentucky Facebook page.
Vote for your favorite “upcycle” by clicking “like/love” on the photo. The total score will be compromised of Facebook likes (75%) and a grade given by the judging panel (25%). Voting ends at noon EST on Wednesday (5/22).
Prizes will be awarded to the top five participants, with the grand prize being valued at $300!
Goodwill is proud to partner with Kentucky 4-H.
