A Hopkinsville woman was reportedly scammed out of a large amount of money in Hopkinsville Monday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say a woman was contacted by somebody claiming to be the IRS demanding $15,300 that she withdrew and put into Bitcoin for them.
No arrest has been made but the report lists the charge as theft by deception.
