Around 46 percent of Pennyrile Electric’s members remain without power, as of 11:00 AM Monday.

Brent Gilkey, Vice President of Member Services, told Your News Edge they are dealing with over 200 individual outages, so it will take some time to get everyone fully restored.

Gilkey added the bulk of the outages came during the first round of storms Sunday.

He said they are thankful for the members who are remaining patient during this time.

In addition to all of the Pennyrile Electric crews, Gilkey said 300 other individuals are helping to restore electricity across their entire service area.

Power has been restored to nearly all of Hopkinsville Electric System’s customers. HES General Manager Jeff Hurd said the bulk of their work was clearing trees off of power lines, adding they only had one broken pole from Sunday’s storms.

As of 8:40 Monday morning, there were minimal HES customers without service.
