A Hopkinsville man is wanted after fleeing from law enforcement during a traffic safety checkpoint in Hart County Friday night.

Kentucky State Police say 28-year-old Anthony Manning and an unknown passenger fled the checkpoint in a Mercedes GL3 at speeds of 130 mph before the pursuit was terminated after losing a visual on the vehicle.

Later in the day, Butler County Sheriff’s deputies reportedly located the vehicle at a gas station in Morgantown and Manning and the passenger fled on foot with the passenger brandishing a gun leading to a deputy discharging his gun before losing sight of them.

Police say the deputy was not injured and there is no evidence that Manning or his passenger were injured.

Manning and his passenger are considered armed and dangerous. Police say they are continuing to look for both of them and investigate the officer-involved shooting.
